Address Types
There are many reasons you may wish to maintain multiple addresses for the same contact. This is why ContactEase allows you to create unlimited address types. Because there are limited address types in Outlook, we recommend paying close attention to the address types you share because you will only be able to share three of them with Outlook users. Be sure to match the address types from Outlook to those you create for ContactEase. Available address types in Outlook are Business, Home, and Other.
To reveal all address types for your ContactEase database, click on the yellow arrow. A checkmark beside an address type indicates that data is entered for this address type.
You may designate an address as the Primary address and another as the Mailing address, or set them both as the same address. This is important when selecting addresses to export for a mail merge or printing labels or envelopes.
Address types are firm definable. You can select any address type when gathering addresses or you can choose the Mailing or Primary address to get the preferred address.
To set an address as Primary or Mailing, start by displaying
that address and then select Set as the Primary Address or Set as the Mailing Address.
Address Type Indicators
The font style of the address type heading indicates the type of address:
- A mailing address will display in italics
- The primary address will display in bold
- A primary and mailing address will appear in bold italics.
