Advanced Find (Search)
Search statements can be repositioned by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons. This is especially helpful if you will be grouping (bracketing) conditions. You can also highlight a statement and Delete it or Add additional statements.
Brackets are used to keep the conditions together. Brackets can only be added after the condition is added. Use the +] or +[ to add brackets and -] or [- to remove them.
An existing previously saved search can be opened and edited by using the Open Search button. This will then present a list of saved searches. A new search can be saved using the Save Search button.
Each time you click the Add button, you create a new element in the search.
As with a Simple search, you select the Type of search: All Records, Marked Records, Selections Only, or Current List Only.
And/Or – This condition applies this element to previous elements in the search.
Remember that you can group the conditions using brackets later.
Next, choose the Field and Condition. If you select a condition such as Begins With or Contains, the options will change to allow you to select the Value to Find and whether or not you must match the case or are looking for whole words only.
