File Menu

From the File menu, users can perform a number of basic and advanced functions.

Open is used to open a ContactEase database. When you select this option, you may be asked to select a database. This dialog can also be opened using the shortcut Ctrl+O.

Close is used to close the ContactEase database currently open. You can also use the shortcut Ctrl+W to close the database.

Print Labels opens the Print dialog directly to the Print Labels dialog. This dialog can also be opened by clicking the Print Labels icon.

Print Envelopes opens the Print dialog directly to the Print Envelopes dialog. This dialog can also be opened by clicking the Print Envelopes icon.

Print Preview opens the Print dialog where you can select labels, reports, envelopes, etc. The only exception is that the results will display on the screen for you to review prior to printing them. This dialog can also be opened by clicking the Print Preview icon.

Print Setup opens the Print dialog directly to the Print Setup dialog. Print Setup is used to configure your printer settings prior to printing.

Send is used to send an e-mail to contacts. Selecting this option opens the Send e-mail window where you can designate the records to include in a mass e-mail operation.

E-mail Campaign opens the E-mail Campaign wizard where you can configure, test, and send a mass e-mail message to all or selected contacts in a variety of formats.

Synchronize includes options for synchronizing your data in the ContactEase database with data in other applications such as Outlook and mobile devices. When this function is selected, you will see a submenu of options.

Tools technical tools for importing, exporting, and other administrative functions such as reporting.

Preferences allows the setting of user-specific and system preferences. When this function is selected you will see a submenu of options.

Exit closes the ContactEase database and exists the application.
