Record Permissions

Contact records can be assigned as: 

  • Public (allows all users to access the record)
  • Semi-Private (only designated users have access)
  • Private (only the current User ID/login can view or edit the record)
These can be assigned by clicking the Settings button and selecting from the dropdown list. While a specific situation may necessitate that a contact record be designated as Private or Semi-Private record, we generally recommend that any records existing in ContactEase be set as Public.
