Import into Categories
Importing data into ContactEase categories is an easy and effective way to manage contacts.
To import data into categories, you'll want to create a column labeled Category. You can import into a category that already exists in ContactEase or you can create a new one.
When adding the category to your spreadsheet, it must be surrounded in quotes. When adding contacts to more than one category, you must place a comma between them.
You can create top-level and subcategories in your spreadsheet. A colon indicates a subcategory. Let's say you'd like to create a new subcategory for contacts located in West Virginia under an existing category: Mailing Lists: United States. You would simply ender "Mailing Lists: United States: West Virginia" into the column labeled Category.
Using Multiple Category Columns
You can import multiple categories in one column (Category, for example) or you can use multiple columns. Either way, the column names should be included in quotes.
